Smart 3D TV

 

Based on the concept of entertainment and storage in one device, Spanish Internet TV (also known as IPTV by its acronym in English) firm Iomega has launched a TV service.

The new service allows direct downloads of HD content on TV, a connection to Facebook and Twitter friends direct from the screen. The new 3D TV also allows access to digital library users, from the home network.

This is a line of networked multimedia devices which is simple to use, using Boxee innovative software to bring the Web to the TV, including all content available on the Web. At the same time, it is a powerful network device that transforms TV into a media center for all videos, photos and music stored on any part of the user's home network.

In April, the new innovative TV will be available in two versions of the new Iomega TV with Boxee; one version will include a TB or 2 TB of storage built and the other will not carry a built-in hard disk. In both versions, the new Iomega Boxee TV will make the laptop or your desktop a thing of the past for enjoying videos, photos and music. This excellent device is a great all in one solution for such activities.

Additionally, the new home entertainment solution with Internet networking with integrated wireless connectivity is designed to make the most of any HD TV making it easy to choose, play, store and share any content from the Internet, using a library of popular applications, including Pandora, and other popular applications to share content with large media audience and cable networks

The Iomega TV is not the only TV of its kind that has been released onto the market lately. We have witnessed more and more manufacturers releasing smart TVs that integrate the Internet for enhanced functionality. For example, the latest range of 3D TVs that have been released by Samsung are integrated with a smart TV technology. The latest televisions from Samsung which are part of their 3D television range allowed the user to connect various devices around the home to the television. As well is that, the smart television applications that are integrated within the television help the user get more it had experienced from using the unit. These days it is not just a question of watching programmes on television, but it is much more a case of access in the various media devices by the use of various applications
